itokri Festive Haul and Review

With festive season going on, everyone is shopping for some festive outfits and jewellery. I’m also on a shopping spree and this time in search of a Red outfit, I landed on itokri.

itokri is an Indian handloom and handcrafted products selling portal. It has a wide variety of home decor, fabrics, dress materials, jewellery and other clothing items. itokri has a special festive section where you can find upcoming diwali related items and gifting options as well.

The website as such an indian feel to it with all the vibrant colors and some words written in hindi. Anyone would to scroll to the site, looking at such a vast collection. It is hard to pick one single item as they have a lot of good things to offer.

Like I said, I was looking for a dress, I went to the suits section but again, too many choices made me browse the website for long. There are different types of dress materials. Kutchi embroidery, banarsi, georgette, silk and so much more. I was spoiled for choices as there were not just suit materials but so many different fabrics, dupattas and even Chikankari readymade kurtis.

Browsing for some time I decided to go for Kutchi Bandhani Hand Embroidered Cotton 3pc Suit Material Set. This green and red outfit was perfect for me considering the color, material and price point. I placed my order, made payment and waited for 4 days to receive my parcel.

My dress arrived packed in old newspaper along with a handwritten note which was again written on a recycled paper. I also a diary made with recycled papers.

Coming to the dress, it is a Green and Red silk and cotton bandhani hand embroidered dress piece. The dupatta and bottom is red tie dye cotton one and kurti is of silk and has thread embroidery on it.

The color of the dress is a bit different from the color that is shown on the website, maybe due to lighting of the picture. Quality of the dress material is good. The dress I bought is good for some home-gathering during festivals. It is light weigh, comfy and still look a bit festive. Price of this set is ₹1450.

I wanted to share stitched dress pictures but unfortunately I didn’t get it stitched on time. I’ll be sharing dress pictures along with some jewellery ideas in some festive-related post or video. Keep a watch on my blog, YouTube and Instagram for the same.

So this was my experience with itokri. If you are looking for some handcrafted items or handlooms, this is a good place to check out. Especially this festive season as they have some good decor, bedsheets, outfits and gift items. If you buy something from itokri, do come back and share your experience with me in the comment section below.
